Pendeen-St Ives Coastal Out and Return

This is a real challenge that is motivating me and others in the club: Pendeen Lighthouse to St Ives and back.

On XContest and Kernow rules this gives you 35.8 points – decent score!

I managed a stretch of it today at dawn, waking early to catch the wind that I knew was dropping off quickly – from Morvah to Portheras Cove to Gurnards head, where I got grounded. Dramatic flying in sea thermals above Bosigran and directly across the sea at Porthmeor Cove.
